Concert Band
The Concert Band is a large ensemble that performs a wide range of serious concert music encompassing traditional band literature, transcriptions, and more recent works for winds. Concert Band has open enrollment; auditions are necessary for seating purposes only. The group is primarily comprised of non-music majors. Conducted by Casey Goodwin, the Concert Band rehearses Tuesday and Thursday from 5:40 to 7:00 p.m.
2012-2013 Concert Dates
The 2012-2013 Concert Band will have concerts on the following dates:
- Tuesday, October 9, 8:00 PM (with Symphonic Band)
- Tuesday, December 4, 8:00 PM (with Symphonic Band)
- Tuesday, February 26, 8:00 PM (with Wind Symphony)
- Thursday, April 25, 8:00 PM (with Symphonic Band)
All Concert Band concerts are held in the Johnson Theater in the Paul Creative Arts Center. These concerts are free and open to the public.
